Iliana Estañol was born in Mexico City. She studied Film Direction at the prestigious International Film School in Cuba (EICTV) and at the University of the Arts in Zürich (ZHdK), as well as Experimental Film & Media at the University of the Arts in Berlin (UDK). Since 2002 she has made several films as a screenwriter, director and producer, which have been shown at international film festivals around the world. “Nordland”, her first feature film as a producer, was premiered in 2014 at Filmkunst Fest in Germany.
Johanna Lietha was born in Zürich and studied Filmmaking at the London University of the Arts. Since 2009 she has been assisting renowned directors in feature film and theatre productions and has made various short films. Since 2011 she lives and works in Vienna.
